Artist Statement
Art for inquiry of knowledge is useless, if no one understands it.
Art for sales is useless, if no one buys it.
Art is only useful and great when it serves its purpose.
"I believe in the authenticity and directness is key. I reject impractical processes and think that pragmatism and functionality is the essence of truth. The relationship between time and functionality is unweilded if any process is held for its functionality. Timelessness and relativity is a reconfiguration of the syntax of a society and metaphysic. Through re-configuration, the theme in my artwork is translated into various forms to present an atmosphere of subtle tension augmented between different magnitudes and dimensions."
Teaching Philosophy
I believe in pure and effective teaching through play and exploration. I am heavily influeced by Dewey’s Philosophy in Education. I believe that every child has an equal chance of being able to achieve what they want with a good teacher. I choose directness and efficiency driven approaches in teaching. I believe that teaching methodologies must be effective and direct, and concepts should be simplified and modified. There is no perfection in teaching, similar to change, the change in curriculum and needs of a generation is constant. Being able to keep up-to-date and the willingness to accept new knowledge is the creed of my philosophy. I hope that students can benefit from my teaching and become self-directed individuals while fulfilling their own ideals and dreams.
